Yolanda R. Bynum

Yolanda R. Bynum is a graduate of Winston-Salem State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a minor in Elementary Education. She holds a Master of Science in Leadership and Organizational Change from Pfeiffer University and a certification in Nonprofit Management by the Office of Continuing Studies at Duke University.

With nearly two decades of training and consultation experience, Yolanda has assisted executives, individuals and organizations develop strong foundations that will help them perform their expectations.

Currently, Yolanda is the Chief Operating Officer at the Girl Scouts, Hornets' Nest Council. She has served as the Director of Out of School Time Programming for Bethlehem Center of Charlotte. There she provided strategic oversight of the elementary, secondary, and adult education programs. Prior to her time with Bethlehem Center of Charlotte, she served as the Learning and Development Specialist for Charlotte Mecklenburg Library where she oversaw staff development and training, as well as provided support for organizational development initiatives. Before joining the Library team, Yolanda served as Sr. Program Director of School Age Initiatives for the YMCA of Greater Charlotte where she provided leadership for the youth learning team and the national office at Y USA in the area of summer learning loss prevention. Before joining the YMCA, Yolanda was the Regional Director of Youth Programs for the YWCA Central Carolinas and an elementary school teacher in Forsyth County Schools and Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools.
